Badam (known as almond) is a pale elliptical nut that has its origin in Iran but cultivates in various countries. Almond is the edible seed from the almond tree, scientifically calledPrunus dulcis. In India, Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh produce more almonds than the other states.
Almond is one of the main sources of nourishment. It contains protein, magnesium, vitamin E, fat, manganese, fiber, and a considerable amount of phosphorus, vitamin B2, and copper.
